I found my calling in accounting after commencing my first cadetship at a small city-based business services firm in 2008. My experience included taking night classes and doing coffee runs for the partners, before I moved onto larger firms to focus on tax consulting.

Since then, I gained experience servicing some of the wealthiest individuals, families and household-name brands in Australia. With over 14+ years experience in business services and tax consulting, I am able to draw on a broad range of experiences to provide clear and commercial advice.

My focus as a principal at Solve since July 2021 is to provide tax-efficient advisory and compliance services to business owners, investors and in-house finance teams. Recently, I have also gained increasing interest in the taxation of cryptocurrency.

Experience / Focus Area of Practice

  • Restructure of high-growth Australian swimwear brand’s corporate group to facilitate international expansion and ensure no tax on move to the new structure
  • Obtained over $200k in export market development grants over a 3-year period for a high-growth Australian company
  • Enabled a client to receive close to $20k in JobKeeper grants in July 2021 by successfully requesting the ATO apply their discretion to allow additional time for submission
  • Helped a client lodge 6 years of outstanding tax returns and obtained a refund of $11k+ of interest and penalties from the ATO
  • Tax planning and Xero optimisation for business owners
  • Implementation of cryptocurrency tax software for numerous clients and assistance with tax planning and structuring
  • Providing post-M&A tax advisory and compliance integration services to companies
  • Delivery of tax-effect accounting and reporting assistance to in-house finance teams

  • Registered Tax Agent
  • Member, Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia
